Facts

A technology company filed suit against defendants who were allegedly disseminating its confidential information on Internet message boards. The defendants used pseudonyms to keep their identities unknown. The plaintiff filed an ex parte application to allow plaintiff to serve discovery on the relevant Internet service provider in order to ascertain and discover the identities of the unidentified defendants and then be able to enjoin these defendants from continuing to disseminate plaintiff's confidential information on the message boards.

Result

The Court granted the ex parte application for a temporary restraining order, order to show cause regarding issuance of preliminary injunction, and order for expedited discovery.
