Facts
Plaintiff's employer, a vending machine company, accused him of embezzlement, placed plaintiff under citizen's arrest and terminated his employment. According to defendant, following a two-part investigation, plaintiff had been embezzling money from defendant's vending machines that plaintiff serviced. The defendant then terminated plaintiff's employment and placed him under citizen arrest. The sheriff was called and plaintiff was taken to jail and bonded. The charges were later dropped by the district attorney, for insufficient evidence. The plaintiff brought this action against the defendant for wrongful termination, false arrest, defamation and malicious prosecution.
