Facts

Synthetic Industries Inc. (SI) produced Fibermesh, which builders utilized to support slabs of concrete. Several plaintiffs sued SI, alleging that Fibermesh damaged the slabs. Associated Indemnity Co. defended SI in the lawsuit. Later, Associated Indemnity sought indemnity from Standard Fire Insurance Co. for defense costs.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Associated Indemnity claimed that Standard Fire agreed to contribute to the cost of defending SI.

DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS:
Standard Fire denied the allegations.

Result

The plaintiff received $234,911 from the jury.
