On Oct. 3, 1996, during an argument, the defendant slammed a bedroom door which caught plaintiff's right index finger, causing serious injury. The plaintiff contended that defendant should not have slammed the door under the circumstances. The defendant contended that it was an accident and that plaintiff was equally at fault. The plaintiff brought this action against the defendant based on negligence.
