Facts

Sanho Corp., a Sunnyvale-based company, manufactured iPad 2 cases. CIMO Technologies, a company based in New Jersey. CIMO also manufactured iPad 2 accessories.

Sanho owned copyrighted photographs of its iPad 2 covers that appear on its website. Sanho discovered that CIMO had been using a number of its copyrighted images. Sanho then sued CIMO in California court for copyright infringement, vicarious infringement, unfair competition, and several other claims.

CIMO moved to dismiss Sanho's clam for lack of personal jurisdiction.

Result

The matter was dismissed for lack of personal jurisdiction.
