Facts

Goldin Auctions filed suit against Kobe Bryant, seeking the right to proceed with an auction on several items of Bryant's memorabilia. Bryant's mother, Pamela, originally cosigned a significant number of items to Goldin Auctions, in exchange for a $450,000 in advance. Bryant then sought to stop the auction, arguing that Pamela was not authorized to sell the items.

Result

The parties settled. Goldin Auctions agreed to sell only six items of memorabilia, and a percentage of the proceeds will go to charity. The items that will be sold are a pair of jerseys that Bryant wore while playing for Lower Merion High School, an all-star medallion and ribbon he was given in 1996, his 2000 NBA All-Star game ring, and a pair of 2000 NBA championship rings.
