Amanda Nalley was driving on State Route 37 in Napa County on July 11, 2011 when she was rear-ended by a vehicle operated by Meagan Lucas. Nalley filed suit against Lucas, and the vehicle's owner, Kaya Lucas.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Nalley alleged motor vehicle negligence.

DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS:
The defense stipulated to liability, but disputed the costs and extent of Nalley's medical treatment.

Damages

Nalley sought $5,346 in medical costs as well as damages for pain and suffering.

Injuries

Nalley sustained injuries to her neck, back, and shoulder, undergoing chiropractic treatment.

Result

The jury awarded Nalley $8,346 in damages.
