Facts

Jurgen Bachus, the sole shareholder and chairman of MJ Net Entertainment AG, sued the Estate of Michael Jackson and the executors of the Estate over a licensing agreement that Bachus entered into with the late Michael Jackson and Triumph International Inc., the owner of Jackson's trademark and intellectual property rights. The matter proceeded to arbitration.

Damages

Bachus sought at least 5 million euros, plus interest, as well as arbitration costs and attorney's fees.

Result

The Estate prevailed on all counts in the arbitration, the parties consented to the arbitrator's award and the matter was dismissed thereafter.
