    Abaxis Inc. manufactured medical products for medical research and veterinary markets, and also provided reference lab services. Abaxis sued Cepheid Inc., alleging patent infringement related to Abaxis' reagent and chemical compositions and processes.

    Result

    Cepheid agreed to pay Abaxis $17,250,000 in settlement of the patent litigation.
