The defendant was driving westbound on Hillrose near Rhodesia in Sunland. The plaintiff was a pedestrian in front of her home. The defendant collided with the plaintiff.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
The plaintiff contended that she had been dropped off by a friend and was crossing from the south to the north when the defendant struck her with his vehicle.

DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS:
The defendant contended that the plaintiff jumped out from in front of a parked vehicle on the north side of the street and was crossing the street north to south. The defendant had no time to react.
