Facts

Digitech Image Technologies LLC had a patent on a device profile and a method of generating a device profile. A device profile describes the color and spatial properties of a device so that a processed image can be accurately captured, transformed, or rendered. Digitech filed suit against Fujifilm Corp., alleging violations of their patents.

Fujifilm asserted that Digitech's claims were patent ineligible and filed a motion for summary judgment on behalf of Fujifilm, Konica Minolta, Sigma and Pentax/Ricoh (Pentax is now part of Ricoh).

Result

Fujifilm's motion for summary judgment was granted on behalf of Fujifilm, Konica Minolta, Sigma and Pentax/Ricoh.
