Real estate brokerage firm Lee & Associates, sued property management companies, Gorda Group LLC and Queen's Gate Residential LLC, claiming it was owed real estate broker commissions.

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Plaintiff contended that it represented Gorda Group and Queen's Gate in connection with the sale of several multifamily residential units. Plaintiff claimed the management companies failed to pay the agreed upon brokers commission.
Plaintiff asserted one claim for breach of contract.
DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS:
Defendants denied Lee & Associates' allegations, and filed counter-claims against the brokers for breach of contract, negligence, fraud, breach of fiduciary duties to the LLC's, and unjust enrichment.
Result
An arbitration award was issued in favor of Lee & Associates on its breach of contract claim. The mediator ruled against defendants on all counter-claims. Lee & Associates was awarded $210,523 the full commission, plus interest, costs, and attorney fees.
