On May 29, 1999, the claimant, 18, was middle rear seat passenger in a car which was severed in half by car
going in the opposite direction which jumped center median and crashed into the claimantÆs car. The left rear
passenger, the claimantÆs best friend, was killed on impact and the claimant observed his body at the scene still
seat belted in.
The claimant sustained severe lacerations to face, neck and head with significant permanent scars.
