On Sept. 3, 2008, plaintiff Sonia Mesrobian's vehicle was rear ended by Pauline Chang's vehicle. The accident occurred in Glendale.

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Plaintiff claimed that the accident caused her injury, which required medical treatment and the need for back surgery.

DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS:
Defendant admitted liability but contested the treatment and the need for future surgery. Defense claimed that plaintiff had pre-existing complaints, which were the cause of plaintiff's injuries.
