Alicia Alacan sued Target Corp. in connection with a slip and fall on Oct. 27, 2012.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Plaintiff visited a Target store in Van Nuys. As she was walking along the main aisle in the entertainment section, she slipped and fell on spilled chocolate milk. Plaintiff sued Target, alleging premises liability.

DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS:
Target denied any liability, alleging that it had no actual or constructive notice of the spilled liquid until after plaintiff fell. As such, Target moved for summary judgment.

Result

The court granted Target's motion for summary judgment.
