Facts

On May 9, 2010, Thomas Langlois walked his dog on a pathway in Alta Loma. An incident occurred involving three other dogs, and Langlois sued Jose Garcia and Natividad Valenzo.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Plaintiff alleged that defendants owned the three other dogs, which were pit bulls, and that the dogs attacked plaintiff when they got out of a home close by. Plaintiff alleged that the dogs broke out of an opening in a fence on the property and that defendants should be held strictly liable according to the dog bite statute.

Damages

Langlois asked for $6,000 in past medical expenses.

Injuries

Plaintiff suffered bites to his finger and leg, and scarring.

Result

According to a settlement agreement, Langlois received $20,574.
