Facts
On Feb. 22, 2011, Nartej Rana was driving in Elk Grove. An accident involving a vehicle driven by Stanley Tang occurred. Rana sued Tang and Irene Wong, who owned Tang's vehicle.
Contentions
PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Plaintiff alleged that he was stopped at a stop sign, when defendant's vehicle negligently crashed into the rear of his car. He also claimed Wong should be held responsible.
DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS:
Defendants argued that Rana never visited a doctor and that there were breaks in the alleged treatment received. Defendants argued that plaintiff's damages were not as high as he sought, and were at most, $6,000.
Settlement Discussions
Plaintiff demanded $9,999.99 under CCP Section 998 and the defense offered $7,500 under CCP Section 998.
Damages
Plaintiff requested $200,000.
Injuries
