Facts

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission filed a disability discrimination lawsuit against REDC Default Solutions, LLC on behalf of Terria Wiley. Ms. Wiley alleged that the REDC Default Solutions, LLC failed to provide a reasonable accommodation, which REDC Default Solutions, LLC disputed.

Asset Manager Terria Wiley suffered a stroke and requested additional time off on medical leave, supported by her treating physician. Instead of granting her an extension, REDC fired Wiley.

Result

The parties resolved the lawsuit by entering a Consent Decree that entitles Ms. Wiley to a payment of $50,000.
