Facts

A class action was filed against Ganz USA, manufacturer of the popular Webkinz toys, accusing it of forcing retailers to buy at least $1,000 in unrelated Ganz products to purchase the Webkinz plush toys. Each Webkinz toy was linked to an interactive website that allowed users to take care of a virtual pet.

Result

A $2.5 million settlement was reached.
