On July 19, 1996, plaintiff Jenifer Wilson, a 24-year-old retail clerk, was traveling westbound on Sherman Way in Reseda when the defendant made a left turn at a signal-controlled intersection when the plaintiff had a green light. The collision involved a right corner to right corner impact. The impact deployed the plaintiff's airbag, which broke her wrist. The plaintiffs brought this action against the defendant based on negligence and loss of consortium.

Settlement Discussions

The plaintiffs made a C.C.P. º998 settlement demand for $39,999.99 on July 7, 1997. The defendant made a C.C.P. º998 offer of compromise for $37,001 on Nov. 18, 1998.
