Facts

The Edwards 2000 Revocable Trust filed suit against Steven Christensen and E*Trade Securities LLC in regards to the claimant's purchase of shares of BlackRock Muniholdings California Insured Fund Inc. Series C. The claimants asserted causes of action for breach of contract, failure to supervise, negligence, breach of fiduciary duty and manipulation.

Damages

The claimants sought $50,000 in compensatory damages.

Result

The arbitrator ruled that the allegations made by the claimants were factually impossible or clearly erroneous. The arbitrator also found that Christensen was not involved in the alleged investment-related sales practice violation, forgery, theft, misappropriation or conversion of funds.
