Facts

James and Annie Zeigon filed a complaint against First Republic Securities Co. LLC alleging breach of fiduciary duty, professional negligence, negligent misrepresentation, breach of contract, common law fraud and deceit, violation of California Corporations Code, and violation of California Code of Regulations. The complaint relate to claimants' investments in various securities.

Damages

Claimants sought $2,125,000 in damages, or alternatively, rescission of the investments and prejudgment interest. They also sought lost opportunity damages, attorney fees, costs, punitive damages, and other relief.

Result

First Republic was found liable to James Zeigon in the amount of $870,632. James, in return, was ordered to tender his TW-FR CBO V ownership documents to First Republic within 30 days upon receipt of the payment. All claims by Annie Zeigon were denied.
