Facts

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) charged Health Care One LLC, Americans4Healthcare Inc., Elite Business Solutions Inc., and Mile High Enterprise Inc. with running a scam involving health insurance. A telemarketing operation allegedly tricked victims who were seeking affordable health insurance into buying worthless medical discount plans.

Result

The defendants agreed to settlements, which resulted in the issuance of 50,395 refund checks totaling more than $1.1 million to the victims. The defendants and their principals were also barred from engaging in any healthcare-related enterprises and from selling healthcare-related goods or services.
