Facts

Daniel Skinner sued several defendants, including Kelly-Moore Paint Company Inc., Basco Drywall and Painting, Georgia-Pacific LLC, Ruco Inc., Union Carbide Corporation, Bakers Pride Oven Co. Inc., Rapid-American Corporation, KCG Inc. and Soco-West Inc. alleging exposure to five different joint compound products and several cement product while performing drywall work on residential projects in Merced in the 1960s and 1970s. Skinner was diagnosed with peritoneal mesothelioma.

Result

The jury returned a verdict for Kelly-Moore Paint, the only remaining defendant at the time of the verdict.
