Sheldon Bloch, Jacki Conolley, The North Family Trust, and The Weston Living Trust filed a complaint against UBS Financial Services Inc. alleging violation of federal and state securities laws; violation of FINRA rules for securities fraud; common law fraud; misrepresentation; material omission; breach of fiduciary duty; breach of contract; negligence; and failure to supervise. The complaint related to investments in UBS's structured notes, including 100 percent Principal Protected Notes, Return Optimization Securities with Partial Protection, and Performance Securities with Partial Protection.

Damages

The claimants sought a rescission and/or compensatory damages in the amount of $270,000 plus interest, attorney fees and costs, as well as punitive damages and other relief.

Result

The parties settled their dispute. The FINRA Panel thereafter recommended the expungement of Ian Goldey's records.
