Facts

The South Coast Air Quality Management District and local prosecutors filed suit against Home Depot, alleging that the company violated regional air quality rules. South Coast argued that Southern California Home Depot stores sold thousands of gallons of paint, sealers, and other liquids that contained volatile organic compounds in violation of regional regulations.

Result

The parties settled for $8 million.
