SimpleAir owned inventions described and claimed in Patent No. 7,035,914, entitled "System and Method for Transmission of Data." SimpleAir asserted that Google infringed this patent by using methods described within it. Google used these systems for its Google Cloud Messaging and Android Cloud to Device Messaging services.

Result

The jury awarded SimpleAir $85 million.
