Laure Lampi sued Daniel Wehr in connection with an alleged incident that occurred on Nov. 3, 2012 in Anaheim.
Contentions
PLAINTIFFS' CONTENTIONS:
Lampi claimed she was walking along a paved nature trail on the Santa Ana River Trail when defendant struck her from behind. Lampi fell and sustained multiple injuries and sued defendant for negligence.
Damages
Lampi sought $18,000 in past medical expenses and other damages. Her husband, Bob Lampi, sought recovery for loss of consortium.
Injuries
Lampi claimed she hit her face and wrist on the ground, fracturing her right, dominant wrist. She also claimed permanent nerve damage to her face, causing the left side of her face to droop. Lampi claimed she continued to suffer extreme pain in her right wrist when performing daily activities. She also claimed to suffer emotionally brought on by her physical limitations and ongoing pain.
Result
Prior to trial, Laure Lampi accepted the insurer's $1.25 million offer.
