The plaintiff, a 39-year-old taxi driver, was driving his full-sized van on Garfield Avenue, intending to make a
left-hand turn onto Huntington Drive. The defendant was travelling East on Huntington and entered the
intersection when the collision occurred.

Settlement Discussions

The plaintiff demanded $15,000 at the MSC, which was reduced to $10,000 in a C.C.P. 998 offer. The defendants offered $500, which was increased to $2,500 before trial.
