Karl Schott filed an action against Jody Rosenthal in relation to a motor vehicle accident.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Plaintiff alleged that on Sept. 22, 2011, he was driving his motorcycle on the Pacific Coast Highway and was involved in a collision with a vehicle that Judy Rosenthal operated. He claimed she was trying to make a U-turn in the middle of the block at plaintiff's right. He argued that she drove negligently, that the U-turn she tried was unlawful, and that she dove into his pathway.

Damages

Plaintiff requested $70,975 in past medical expenses, $67,000 in past lost earnings, and $35,000 in past lost earnings.

Injuries

Plaintiff suffered nerve damage to the ulnar nerve, metatarsal factures. He received internal fixation, open reduction physical therapy and installed pins, rods and screws.

Result

According to an agreement, they settled for $250,000 at defendant's policy limits.
