Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Inc., or Warner Bros., filed a complaint against Lai-Kin So for copyright infringement.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Warner Bros. alleged it was the exclusive owner of United States distribution rights in various creative works and that such works were entitled to copyright protection. Warner Bros. further alleged that defendants were selling or attempting to sell counterfeit copies of these creative works through Amazon.com.

DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS:
Defendant denied the allegations made in the complaint.

Result

Pursuant to the stipulation of the parties, the court entered a consent decree and permanent injunction. The defendant was permanently enjoined from infringing in any manner various copyrighted motion picture or television works owned or controlled by plaintiff.
