Facts

On April 14, 2007, as plaintiff Yelena Golovko boarded a 38-Geary bus through the front door, the driver allegedly closed the door on her right foot. The bus then started moving and dragged Golovko on the ground, with her right foot still caught in the door. After other passengers screamed at the driver to stop, the driver stopped the bus. Golovko filed suit against the city and county of San Francisco and the San Francisco Municipal Railway.

Result

The parties reached a settlement.
