RIVERSIDE - Despite the emotional nature and high volume of cases in Judge Matthew Perantoni's domestic violence courtroom, attorneys say he keeps his cool.

"Domestic violence is one of the downer courtrooms to be in," said Helios J. Hernandez III, a conflict panel attorney in Riverside. "Everybody hates domestic violence because it's just one of the worst crimes."
