LONG BEACH - Laura Laesecke is an avowed thrill seeker.
The 43-year-old Los Angeles County Superior Court judge surfs, rock climbs and scuba dives. She recently took up ice climbing, and five years ago injured her knee while snowboarding.
In February, she even celebrated her appointment to the Superior Court by bungee jumping in the San Gabriel Mountains.
