Fred Beaton filed an arbitration claim against National Planning Corporation and others, asserting causes of action for violation of securities laws, breach of fiduciary duty and constructive fraud, fraud and deceit, California securities fraud, unfair sales practices, negligence and negligent misrepresentation, and elder abuse. The causes of action related to seven Tenant in Common real estate investments.

Damages

Beaton sought $4,011,772 in damages.

The arbitration panel denied Beaton's claims in their entirety and recommended the expungement of all references to the arbitration from Brad Stark's registration records.
